Our SUP paddleboard Video |
|
|
We have added our first range of SUP boards to our product line up. As soon as the first boards arrived we cracked open the packaging and headed to sweet wee river bar just north of Auckland.
Didn't take us long to find our feet and put our surfing skills to good use. SUP - Stand Up Paddl boarding is more fun than Kayaking, the view is better and the equipment is super light to handle. Compared to surfing it's much easier to catch and ride waves, as you will see in the video. Even tiny waves become a lot of fun.
We will share more wave riding footage and touring clips as riders send them in.
If you want to hire a board or put your order in give me a call. |

Local NZ Kitesurfing Action on the 2010 BEST Nemesis NXG 12sqm.
The NEMESIS NXG breaks all the rules. It's a dynamic "C" shaped kite with all the BOW kite power control. I have been riding the 12m NXG Nemesis (NXG = Next Generation) for a few weeks now and it is very fast and responsive in the air. Trying to describe the feeling of flying the Nemesis is difficult. But what I can say is that the feeling is addictive. The super thin high pressure L/E cuts through the sky like a razor. Low on drag this kite rocks away up wind at every opportunity. And rips you skyward with ease.
Riders: Colin Thompson, Lee McClelland & Joel Keen. |

Hendricks Kite Loops are insane!
After 3 awesome weekends of Kiteboarding in a row on Orewa Beach, I managed to film so more action of the new 2009 Nemesis in action. Riders have been absolutely loving this new Nemesis. The Twister Tech and Cuben leading edge technology make it a real sporty kite to fly. It's just so much fun. Watch the video and see.
Here is a bit of action filmed the last windy weekend in November on Orewa Beach. Enjoy!

Video filmed at Orewa Beach.
Sunday November 16th 2008
This weekend was a great weekend for lessons and also for riders to try the 2009 BEST NEMESIS HP 12m. I only filmed for about 10 mins to give you an idea of the conditions ANABATIC Kiteboarding enjoys here in Auckland.

TV3 15 seconds of fame |
|
Well I sure had my 15 seconds of fame this week with coverage on TV3 and Radio NZ for Kiteboarding. The filming for TV3 was a blast. +30 knots of wind, a new 9m 2007 Waroo and a camera strapped on me with another out in the bay. Scotty the cameraman was asking us to boost jumps as close to him in the water as possible. Craig, Joel, Mark and I really enjoyed that session. The footage and angle is amazing, TV3 hosted a few short clips on the Hyundai sports show and there is more to come. Later in the week Radio NZ rocked up and interviewed Mo, Paul and myself in store at Anabatic. This aired the following morning. All this positive media attention is fantastic for raising the profile of the sport here in New Zealand. It's a lot of fun too. |
